Winter is here. We should be tucked into a log cabin, near the fire with some stitching in our laps. Well, I cannot get us all to the cabin, BUT I can teach you how to make the Log Cabin Quilt!
The Log Cabin quilt pattern is one of the most beloved and recognized of quilt designs. It’s design is rooted in Civil War America. The center square, traditionally red, is the hearth of the home, with the logs of the cabin built around it. The beauty of this block is that by simply turning the blocks in different directions, many looks can be created!
In this class we will spend a couple of evenings making sixteen - 14” Log Cabin Blocks. You will learn time saving assembly line piecing that will light up your quilty light bulb! Then we will have a ton of fun playing with all of the different layouts and get your quilt top stitched up!
This workshop is perfect for the beginner quilter who is looking to build their skills and quilt repertoire! And, the studio is so cozy in winter….
