Sometimes when a class is done we have left over patterns hanging around the studio. Sounds like a good reason to have a sale! There are six to choose from, happy picking!
TUESDAYS April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Julia Wentzell from Briar Hill Designs is back in the studio to help you perfect your piecing skills while you make her original quilt - Yonder.
In this five week class, you will make a throw sized quilt (72” x 72”) while your will tackle the big 18” blocks that are all about letting that gorgeous fabric be seen. All five sections of the block will use a different print/solid. These five sections are cut from every fabric, then mixed and matched to make every block unique. There will be different balances of light and dark, bold and soft, busy and mild, all telling a different story through the same simple block.
THURSDAY April 25: 6:00 to 9:00
MONDAY April 29: 6:00 to 9:00
Use a sewing machine and thread to sculpt a beautiful cotton rope bowl or basket. You’ll get lost in the meditative process and be inspired by the endless possibilities of colour and design. This is a great way to practice and improve your machine handling skills, too!
FRIDAY April 12 & 26: 6:00 to 9:00 pm
We are so excited to have Karina Carter of Rag Rugs by Karina in the studio!
In her two day workshop, Karina will teach you how to weave a rug using recycled materials like old sheets, or maybe some of your quilting stash! Each student will be provided a custom built weaving loom which is yours to keep following class so that you can keep on weaving!
